policott is a functional polyester made with functional yarns that are excellent in moisture absorption, quick drying, and UV protection.
Special processing has been used to achieve a texture that feels like cotton.
The knitted fabric series, which is ideal for cut and sewn clothing, uses MVS spun yarn※1, so it has excellent anti-pilling properties and is highly durable, resistant to pilling, and can withstand repeated wearing and washing.
The woven fabric series is woven with short fibers and stretch yarn, so it is cotton-like yet has comfortable stretchability.
A wide range of products are available to meet the needs of the wearer, from active scenes to select items that emphasize fashion.
※1 MVS spun yarn is yarn made by the Murata Vortex Spinner (MVS), a spinning machine developed by Murata Machinery Co., Ltd. It is spun by the swirling flow of compressed air, and the center of the yarn is untwisted, accelerating the transfer of moisture. Conversely, the outside is formed to wrap around other fibers, giving it excellent anti-pilling properties. MVS spun yarn has excellent water absorption, anti-pilling properties, and abrasion resistance.

An encounter that expands the possibilities of polyester
About 10 years ago, we were feeling a little tired of polyester material, and that's when we came across policott's yarn.
Although it is polyester, it had a unique cotton-like feel and a crisp texture that felt very fresh.
We were convinced that policott could fulfill both the desires of sports apparel that incorporates fashion and fashion apparel that incorporates functionality.
Learned from failure and kept moving forward
From there,the challenge of developing the material began.
Initially,the dyeing process was extremely difficult,and we faced numerous problems,such as wrinkles appearing easily and the texture becoming hard.However,we did not give up,and we continued to accumulate know-how while overcoming each challenge one by one.
An innovative material born from many trials
After repeated prototyping and improvements, we were able to significantly improve functionality such as moisture absorption and quick drying and anti-pilling properties,
bringing us closer to the quality we were aiming for.
In addition, by using yarn made from recycled materials, we are also working to reduce the environmental impact.
